Modern Slavery Act

The UK’s Modern Slavery Act came into force in 2015. On this page, HSBC explains how it applies policies and procedures under the provisions of this Act.

This statement is issued by HSBC Holdings plc under the provisions of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

We also look at some of the ways in which HSBC works with the wider financial community and law enforcement agencies to act against Modern Slavery.

Our 2018 statement is our third report under the Act. We are committed to improvement, and remain open to and welcome constructive feedback from our stakeholders.
